Valla Nature Reserve VKFF-2753

Heading for Coffs Harbour for the night, noticed a park not far off the highway, Valla Beach Nature Reserve, so turned off for a quick activation.

This turned out to be more of a suburban park, in the town of Valla Beach. Driving along Valla Beach Rd, first tried off Ocean View Dr but nothing suitable, continued on Valla Beach Rd. Saw a sign for the park on top of an embankment with the reserve bush below.

Headed down the embankment, found a fallen tree to act as squid pole support and set up the radio.

Radio on the table. I was on a bit of a slope here... Was at least out of site of the houses across the street. Still got a few dog walkers going by who probably wandered what I was doing... This was an amazingly noisy spot for bird life, lots of rainbow lorikeets nearby.

Got on 40 m. To be a quick activation before the sun set.
