Dorrigo National Park VKFF-0144

After stopping overnight in Coffs Harbour, drove the Waterfall Way up to Dorrigo. Although not a long way, it took about an hour, with roadworks on the steep drive up. There are also several places where the road is only wide enough for one car, so need to give way at times for cars the other way. Got to the Dorrigo National Park Visitors Centre. Sign for the park

Drove past the visitors centre to a nearby picnic spot, The Glade picnic area.

As only mid morning not many picnicers there yet. Set up on one of the picnic tables in the sun. After climbing up from the coast it was a lot colder, only around 13 c or so.

Shack on the picnic table

Got on 40 m. Found the band quite dead with hardly any signals. Not sure if the foliage nearby or just poor conditions. Made the following contacts
