United States County Award

 After working all US States (WAS), have decided to chase the next level, United States Counties Award.

QRZ.com logbook has an Award page for keeping track of counties, at the moment have 451 counties confirmed

Interesting to see the most common county worked is King in Washington State. This is the area around Seattle, WA. Seems to be the easiest area to work from VK.

When you work all counties in a state, it turns green. Only one state completed, Hawaii

However most States have many counties left to complete. Some of the smaller states are getting close to completion, eg CT needing 2, DE needing 1 county. Unfortunately hard to work from VK

Anyway will keep working US States, trying for the next Award level, 500 Counties.

My logging program Log4OM has a USA-CA Award for tracking Counties too. Totals show 40m as the most popular with 176, followed closely by 10 m with 174. I was quite active in the last sunspot peak on 10 m to the USA, but not now, so expect this to fall behind. Also 17 m  with 162 is proving to be a good band to make US contacts.
