With a nice sunny afternoon decided to activate a new park for me, Nadjung Mada Nature Reserve. VKFF-3932. It is located off the Old Well Station track that runs from Harrison to Kenny. I parked off Well Station Dr near the new Harrison High School. There is a locked gate but has a gap for walkers. After a short walk reached the sign for the park.
The sign is a bit misleading as its only just in the park, the land behind it is not. The park is opposite the sign over a fence. Continued walking along Old Well Station track, coming to a gate in the fence. Entered the park, set up the squid pole and dipole along the fence. Harrison High School in the distance.
Looking back the other way towards Kenny.
Looking East into the reserve. Suspect this is just old farmland from Well Station property. The mountain in the distance is Mount Majura, a SOTA summit. Canberra airport radar on top.
Checked the 40 m antenna. Resonant a bit low at 7.008 Mhz but okay to use.
Got on 40m. 7.144 was free so spotted on parks n peaks, go a stream of park hunters going.
