Followed Knights Hill Road to a T intersection. Right takes you to the Tree Top Walk, left to the summit. I parked just round the corner from here to be able to walk into the activation zone.
Walked along the road towards the summit. Knights Hill is a major communications site for TV, radio and mobile. Low clouds here.
The road up to the top of the peak is on private property. Set up the squid pole on the fence closest to the top
Shack on the tarp on the mowed grass strip between the road and the fence.
There was a spot for VK1NAM/2 Andrew on VK2/SW-027 on 40 m. I couldn't here him on...Gave him a call, he was there but about to pack up due to an approaching storm. After working Andrew worked several of the usual chasers on 40 m. I tried 20 m, some good signals from VK3CAT, VK3DET, VK5IS, VK3EQ and VK3DAC. Just before packing up tuned around and heard a CQ from VK9N/SM3TLG, Hans on holiday on Norfolk Island. Managed to work him with a good signal.
No track log, however here is the map of the summit area
